Sunshine Coast Regional Stadium

At the time AMPM were introduced to the 'Quad Park Stadium' project team, the project had some major challenges to deal with - our initial review revealed a $10M gap between approved project scope and the committed funding.

During our commission we instigated numerous design improvements to ensure sports code mandatory standards would be achieved and improved the spectator view of the multi-use field.

We assisted the Quad Park Board to identify commercialisation opportunities (in accordance with their strategy for the precinct), negotiated with potential tenants and negotiated MOU's and lease terms.

We were able to secure some significant successes for the project including:

  • Driving a new business case for a $23M stadium and educational precinct
  • Our business case submission was successfully verified by Caloundra Council, Queensland Treasury (LGIS) and SCRC's Strategic Property Unit - one of the most rigorous analyses undertaken by Council
  • We successfully secured development approval for the combined stadium and education precinct, including obtaining DNRM consent as owner and resource entitlement approval for use of state land
  • We were successful in securing over $20M of funding commitments for the project
