Howard Smith Wharf Programming
AMPM was appointed by Olimar Pty Ltd as part of their successful tender bid team for the Howard Smith Wharf reconstruction project.
The project comprised the reconstruction of heritage wharf areas by Brisbane City Council in preparation for a major inner city water front revitalisation.
AMPM's role included preparation of a detailed construction program including analysis and programming of demolition, barge works, construction of new wharf piling and superstructure, decking and fit-off. Some of the complexities inherent in the project included ensuring the program provided not only for an achievable cycle time for the primary structural components, but it also needed to consider safe working distances between barges and land based construction crews.
